New GEN 2 Fire Resistant Design
The Ruth Lee Fire House-GEN2 Manikins will withstand temperatures of around 320°F at floor level (752°F at the ceiling)*.
SPECIAL MATERIALS:
The manikin carcass is constructed from the same flame-retardant polyester (conforms to BS EN ISO 15025:2002) used in Police ballistic/stab vests & reinforced with meta-aramid blend webbing to avoid becoming brittle and melting.
Protective coveralls are non-flammable; constructed from a special meta-aramid/para-aramid blend material, and reinforced with meta-aramid webbing to improve abrasion resistance. They are fitted with 20mm ties, since standard Velcro fastenings melt at high temperatures.
The Fire House Manikins are designed to withstand temperatures of 280-320°F (140-160°C), the average temperature at floor height for live fire training and only starts to ‘fail’ at temperatures in excess of 350°F (180°C). It is recommended that you dress your manikin in an old set of turnout gear for scenarios where the manikin will be dragged. This will add an extra-layer of wear protection for your investment.

• Soft body joints eliminate the risk of pinch welts and bruising; common injuries when using plastic bodied manikins.
• An immobilization/extrication collar can be fitted around the neck of our adult manikins to promote proper casualty care.
• Comes complete with overalls, boots and separate meta-aramid/para-aramid blend hood to cover the head, which are easily replaced if damaged.
*NOT SUITED FOR:
• Direct exposure to naked flames or excessive temperatures.
