FORETEX Particulate Barrier Hood

Engineered and constructed to meet the demands of the modern fireground.  The FORTEX hood is Majestic Fire Apparel’s newest particulate-blocking hood designed specifically for structural firefighting and is certified to NFPA 1970 (2025 Ed.).

Constructed with Nomex® Nano Flex fabric, FORTEX combines advanced particulate-blocking technology with the comfort, fit, and craftsmanship firefighters expect from Majestic Fire Apparel.  The single layer trilaminate fabric provides a breathable, flexible barrier designed to help reduce exposure to harmful particulates without sacrificing comfort or mobility.

FORTEX is more than a new fabric. FORTEX is protection, re-engineered with purpose-built design enhancements that have improved fit, function, and ease of use while retaining the rugged performance needed for the demands of the fireground.  Including a PFAS (Total Fluorine) concentration of no more than 100 ppm.

Direct-Grip Face Opening - Unlike traditional hood designs that encapsulate the face-opening elastic with fabric, FORTEX hoods intentionally leave the elastic exposed.  This creates direct contact between the elastic and SCBA facepiece for a firm, secure grip.
Doff Assist Tab™ - A strategically positioned elastic tab at the top of the face opening.  The integrated elastic tab provides an easy-to-grasp point to assist with hood positioning and doffing.
